Welcome to the Rafter L Quarter Horse Ranch.  We are located in North Texas – 30 miles west of Gainesville.  We are a family-operated ranch on 400 acres of rolling pastures and wooded areas ideal for raising and training.  Our goal is to provide well-trained for use on working ranches or for recreational trail and pleasure riding.  Our mares are well-bred registered Quarter Horses.  Stop by the broodmare page to view their outstanding pedigrees.

The stallions we breed to are from proven bloodlines, which include Zan Parr Jack, Zan Parr Bar, Doc O’Lena, Par Three, Two Eyed Jack, Doc Bar, Sugar Bars, Three Bars, Poco Bueno, Mr. Burt Reynolds, Eddie Ricky, Tee Jay Super Jack, Jackie Bee, Custus Rastus, Ricky Taylor, King Damon, Colonel Cody, King, Moore’s Ace, Mr. San Peppy Ricky, Doc Bar Gold, Mr. San Peppy, Leo San, Doc’s Val d’Or, Can’T Bee, Leo, Ricky Taylor, and Lon Hancock.

We break all of our 2 year olds on cattle and also give them plenty of trail and pasture experience.  Our trainer, Rusty Denning, has spent over 30 years training ranch, including 20 years breaking for the Gaylord’s Lazy E Ranch.
